The SMC VFN2220N5D02FQ is the double-solenoid NAMUR valve with a complete DIN terminal entry, so it latches its last commanded position when power is lost instead of springing back. It is used to actuate NAMUR-interface process valve actuators. It is suited for ball and butterfly valve control, pipeline isolation that must hold state through a power interruption, and process skids. The two coils give memory action, which single-solenoid valves cannot provide on loss of signal.
