Both sides piping on an 8 mm bore body is what distinguishes the SMC MXQ8A20Z from the standard MXQ8-20: air can enter from either face, so tubing can be run to suit the machine rather than the table. It is used in compact assembly cells, electronics manufacturing and small-parts handling, and is suited to pick-and-place, nest loading and short indexing. The MXQA design is 10% lower and 22% lighter than the existing model, with 64% better allowable kinetic energy.
