MQR8-M5 Applications
Eight independent air circuits on a standard non-flange body make the SMC MQR8M5 suited to multi-station rotating equipment where several devices must be driven through one axis. SMC describes the series as supplying air to rotary and pivot shafts of turntables and robot arms. It is used in multi-station dial machines, rotary fillers, and robotic tool changers, and is suited to feeding four double-acting grippers, running several clamps on an index table, and piping a multi-tool rotating head. The metal seal keeps rotational torque low despite the higher circuit count.
