MQR2-M5 Applications
Carrying two independent air circuits on the standard non-flange body, the SMC MQR2M5 is the model to use where a rotating tool needs both extend and retract lines. SMC describes the series as supplying air to rotary and pivot shafts of turntables and robot arms. It is used in rotary indexing tables, robot end-of-arm tooling, and automated assembly cells, and is suited to driving a double-acting gripper through a rotating axis, feeding two clamps, and piping a continuously rotating fixture. Its two circuits allow full double-acting control without a second joint.
