MQR12-M5 Applications
Twelve air circuits, the highest count in the range, let the SMC MQR12M5 serve densely populated rotating platforms from a single joint. SMC describes the series as supplying air to rotary and pivot shafts of turntables and robot arms. It is used in large rotary index tables, multi-head packaging machines, and complex robotic wrists, and is suited to driving six double-acting grippers, running a full station of clamps and ejectors, and consolidating many rotating air lines. Using one 12-circuit joint avoids stacking multiple joints and keeps the rotating axis short and rigid.
