The SMC MGPM2020Z is used in automated assembly, packaging, and material-handling machinery where a guided pneumatic actuator must resist lateral load without an external guide. It is suited for pick-and-place transfer, pusher and stopper duty, and clamping or lifting on indexing lines. The slide-bearing guide and twin guide rods hold the mounting plate square under offset loads, while the MGP-Z body is up to 24% lighter than the previous MGP generation and lets round and magnetic-field-resistant auto switches mount directly without a spacer.
