The 50 mm stroke of the SMC MGPM1250Z is a general-purpose mid-range travel for the 12 mm bore body. It is used in assembly automation, packaging and small conveyor systems, and is suited for pick-and-place lifting, pusher and transfer duty, and fixture clamping. The built-in guide rods run in slide bearings that take the lateral load off the piston rod, so the plate resists rotation and the actuator can drive tooling directly without a separate guide.
