IL220-N02 Applications

The SMC IL220N02 is the 3 port, NPT-threaded member of the IL201/211/220 lock-up valve family: instead of simply retaining pressure like the single acting IL201, it switches the supply port when a fault occurs. It is installed in air-operated process control lines to protect against air source or supply piping failure, changing over from IN1 to IN2 so the operating area keeps a supply until the main air source is restored. Typical uses are backup air changeover for control valve actuators in refineries, chemical plants and gas processing sites piped to NPT standards.
