IL201-02 Applications

The SMC IL20102 is the single acting member of the IL201/211/220 lock-up valve family, holding pressure at one operating chamber rather than two (IL211) or switching supply ports (IL220). It is installed in air-operated process control lines to guard against air source or supply piping failure: if the signal pressure falls below the set point, the valve closes and retains pressure at the operating area as an emergency measure until the air source returns to normal. Typical uses are fail-freeze protection of single acting control valve actuators in refineries, chemical plants and power stations.
