IL100-N02 Applications
The SMC IL100N02 is the NPT-threaded 1/4 port version of the IL100 booster relay, distinguishing it from the G-thread (F) and Rc variants used elsewhere in the series. It is fitted in air-operated process control lines where the piping run between the instrument and the operating area is long, or where the operating area has large capacity, and its 1:1 booster action accelerates actuation speed considerably. Typical applications include amplifying positioner output to large diaphragm actuators, boosting control valve signal lines, and speeding up remote pneumatic actuators in oil, gas and chemical plants specified to NPT piping standards.
