IL100-03-ST Applications

The SMC IL10003ST is the copper-free, high-temperature version of the IL100 booster relay, rated to 100 C where the standard IL100 stops at 60 C. It is used in air-operated process control loops where the piping distance between the instrument and the operating area is long, or where the actuator has a large capacity, and the 1:1 booster accelerates actuation speed considerably. Typical uses are amplifying positioner output to large diaphragm and piston actuators, boosting signal lines on control valves, and driving remote pneumatic actuators. The copper-free specification suits ammonia, electronics and semiconductor plants where copper contamination must be avoided.
