SMC EX260SPN1 Serial Interface Unit — PROFINET SI unit, 32 outputs. SMC EX260-SPN1 is a PROFINET serial interface (SI) unit for the EX260 integrated fieldbus system, controlling up to 32 solenoid valve outputs on SMC valve manifolds. Output type is Source/PNP (negative common). It has standard dual-port PROFINET connectivity (two M12 4-pin D-coded sockets, PORT 1 and PORT 2) to eliminate external switches or branch connectors, plus a power supply connector carrying load voltage for valves and operating voltage for the SI unit. IP67 enclosure for dust and washdown protection. Configured via the SMC GSDML file. Compatible with SMC New SY, SV, VQC and S0700 series manifold solenoid valves (same connectable manifolds as EX250). The EX260 offers a compact, cost-effective output fieldbus solution across EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, EtherCAT, PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet and CC-Link.

EX260-SPN1 Applications

Connects an SMC valve manifold to a PROFINET network, driving up to 32 solenoids while its built-in dual PROFINET ports let nodes daisy-chain without extra switches. IP67 protection and machine-side mounting reduce valve wiring and cabinet space in dusty or washdown environments. Commission with the SMC GSDML file in the PROFINET controller; the EX260 supports New SY, SV, VQC and S0700 manifolds and is a common EX250 replacement.
