The SMC EX245SPR1X171 is a made-to-order PROFINET SI unit used in automotive body-in-white and general assembly lines where valve manifolds and I/O modules are controlled over a single fieldbus drop. It is suited for AIDA-compliant automotive installations, distributed valve manifold control, and modular I/O expansion of up to 8 modules. Its push-pull connectors allow one-touch installation and removal, cutting wiring time during line builds and changeovers, while the flexible module combination lets a single node serve 128 digital inputs and 64 digital outputs.
