The SMC EVS78FGS3CVQ is the ISO size 2 member of this family, roughly doubling the flow of the size 1 valves at 58 mm2 effective area and 3140.80 Nl/min. That extra capacity suits larger-bore cylinders on presses, palletisers, foundry and heavy process equipment where a size 1 valve would starve the actuator and slow the stroke. Single-solenoid spring return sends the actuator to a defined home position on power loss, which is preferred for guarding and ejector circuits. It mounts on any conforming ISO 5599-1 size 2 sub-plate or manifold, so it interchanges with other makers' size 2 valves.
