EIL211-F02 Applications

The IL211 lock-up valve safeguards air-operated process control loops driving double-acting devices. If the air source or supply piping fails, it retains the pressure at the operating area as an emergency measure, holding the actuator position until the air supply returns to normal. Signal air acts on a diaphragm that opens the valve between IN and OUT; if signal pressure drops below the set point the valve closes by spring force. Common on control-valve positioner lines in chemical, power and process plant applications requiring fail-safe pressure retention.
