The SMC CQ2B3210TZ extends automatically under spring force when air is removed, the fail-safe-extend counterpart to the double acting CQ2B3210DZ at the same bore and stroke. It is used for fail-safe part ejection, spring-extend hold-down clamps, and diverter flaps that must engage on air loss. The auto switch mounting groove allows position confirmation on four faces. Air is applied to retract the rod, so a single valve port suffices and the extend force is fixed by the spring rather than the supply pressure.
