CQ2B16-10T Applications

The SMC CQ2B1610T extends automatically under spring force when air is removed, the opposite fail-safe behaviour to the spring-return CQ2B1610S. It is used for fail-safe part ejection, spring-extend hold-down clamps, and diverter flaps that must fall open on air loss. Air is applied to retract the rod and a single valve port is sufficient, simplifying the pneumatic circuit. Extend force comes from the spring and is therefore fixed, while retract force is set by the supply pressure.
