SMC CDQSB125DM Compact Air Cylinder — 12mm bore, 5mm stroke, double acting single rod, rod end MALE thread (option M) - distinct from CDQSB12-5D which has the standard female rod thread. SMC CDQSB12-5DM is a CQS Series Compact Cylinder, Standard Type, Double Acting, Single Rod, with a 12 mm bore and a 5 mm standard stroke. Note the part number parses as bore 12 with stroke 5 (CDQSB12-5DM), not bore 125. The D prefix denotes a built-in magnet for auto switch mounting, B is the basic mounting style, and option M specifies a rod end male thread in place of the standard female thread, which is the only difference from CDQSB12-5D. CDQSB12-5DM Applications

An ultra-short-stroke compact cylinder for precision work needing only a few millimetres of travel, specified with a male rod end thread. The 12 mm bore and 5 mm stroke suit fine clamping, pin locating, small part holding, nozzle lift and micro-ejection on electronics assembly, test rigs and packaging machinery. The male rod thread accepts a rod end nut, single or double knuckle joint or a floating joint, which makes it the right choice when the rod must couple to an existing linkage rather than receive a threaded stud. The built-in magnet supports flush auto switch mounting.
