SMC CDQSB12-5D is a CQS Series Compact Cylinder, Standard Type, Double Acting, Single Rod, with a 12 mm bore and a 5 mm standard stroke. Note the part number parses as bore 12 with stroke 5 (CDQSB12-5D), not bore 125. The D prefix denotes a built-in magnet for auto switch mounting and B is the basic mounting style. CDQSB12-5D Applications

An ultra-short-stroke compact cylinder for precision work where only a few millimetres of travel are needed. The 12 mm bore with 5 mm stroke is well suited to fine clamping, pin locating, small part holding, nozzle lift and micro-ejection on electronics assembly, test rigs and packaging machinery. The shallow square body keeps the whole actuator inside a very tight envelope. The standard rod end female thread lets a stud or tooling tip be threaded straight into the rod, and the built-in magnet supports flush auto switch mounting for position sensing.
