SMC CDQSB1215D Compact Air Cylinder — 12mm bore, 15mm stroke, double acting single rod, standard rod end female thread (no option letter), built-in magnet, basic through-hole mounting. SMC CDQSB12-15D is a CQS Series Compact Cylinder, Standard Type, Double Acting, Single Rod, with a 12 mm bore and 15 mm standard stroke. The D prefix denotes a built-in magnet for auto switch mounting and B is the basic mounting style. With no trailing option letter the cylinder is supplied in the standard configuration with a rod end female thread. Operating fluid is air, proof pressure 1.5 MPa, maximum operating pressure 1.0 MPa, lubrication not required (non-lube), piston speed 50 to 500 mm/s, and ambient and fluid temperature -10 to 70 degrees C without auto switch or -10 to 60 degrees C with auto switch (no freezing). The compact square body permits auto switch mounting on three or four sides with no protrusion beyond the body. Supplied without auto switch as standard.

CDQSB12-15D Applications

A short-stroke compact cylinder for machine builds where panel depth is at a premium. The 12 mm bore and 15 mm stroke handle light clamping, part transfer, ejection, stopping and gate actuation on assembly, electronics and packaging lines. The standard rod end female thread lets a stud or tooling adaptor be threaded straight into the rod, keeping the overall assembly short. The built-in magnet supports flush-mounted auto switches on three or four faces so end-of-stroke position can be confirmed without adding external limit switches.
