SMC CDQ2B40-15DZ is a CQ2-Z series compact air cylinder with a 40 mm bore and 15 mm stroke. Double acting, single rod, with built-in magnet (D) for auto switch position sensing. Through-hole mounting style (B). Blank port thread code = Rc thread, Rc1/8 on the 40 mm bore. Standard body option: rod end female thread, no rubber bumper. Auto switch mounting groove (Z) on 4 surfaces. Supplied without auto switches.

CDQ2B40-15DZ Applications

A short-stroke, high-thrust actuator for clamping, part locating, ejecting and indexing where the 40 mm bore is needed for grip force but only 15 mm of travel is available. The flat compact body bolts through onto fixture plates, so it slots into tooling stacks and jig frames that will not take a tie-rod cylinder. Rc1/8 taper ports suit standard Rc fittings, and the built-in magnet lets auto switches drop into the body grooves to signal both stroke ends.
