SMC CDQ2B40-10DZ is a CQ2-Z series compact air cylinder with a 40 mm bore and 10 mm stroke. Double acting, single rod, with built-in magnet (D) for auto switch position sensing. Through-hole mounting style (B). Blank port thread code = Rc thread, Rc1/8 on the 40 mm bore. Standard body option: rod end female thread, no rubber bumper. Auto switch mounting groove (Z) on 4 surfaces. Supplied without auto switches.

CDQ2B40-10DZ Applications

The 40 mm bore steps thrust up over the 32 mm models while the 10 mm stroke keeps the actuator effectively a force generator. Use it for clamping and work-holding, locating pins, die and mould stops, and pressing pads on jigs where the tool only needs to close a short distance but must hold firmly. Rc taper ports mate with standard Rc/PT fittings common in Asian-built machinery. Built-in magnet allows auto switches to confirm clamp and release states.
