SMC CDQ2B32TF10SZ Compact Air Cylinder — 32 mm bore, 10 mm stroke, single acting spring return. SMC CDQ2B32TF-10SZ is a CQ2-Z series compact air cylinder with a 32 mm bore and 10 mm stroke, single acting single rod with spring return. The B mounting style is through-hole (standard) and the TF port thread type is G (BSPP), giving a G1/8 port on this bore. The leading D denotes a built-in auto switch magnet, and the Z suffix provides the auto switch mounting groove on 4 surfaces (oe32 to oe50 on the single acting type). Air extends the rod and the internal spring returns it, so the cylinder fails safe to the retracted position on air loss. Media is air, proof pressure 1.5 MPa and maximum operating pressure 1.0 MPa. Minimum operating pressure for the single acting oe32 type is 0.17 MPa, substantially higher than the 0.05 MPa of the double acting version because the spring must be overcome. CDQ2B32TF-10SZ Applications

Used where the actuator must return to the retracted position automatically if air pressure is lost, such as clamps, gates, diverters and safety interlocks. Air drives the rod out and the spring pulls it back, so only one valve port and one air line are needed, simplifying the circuit. Note the higher minimum operating pressure of 0.17 MPa for this bore compared with the double acting equivalent, and confirm the supply can overcome the return spring across the full duty range.
