SMC CDQ2B3220DZ Compact Air Cylinder — 32 mm bore, 20 mm stroke, rod end female thread (standard body option). SMC CDQ2B32-20DZ is a CQ2-Z series compact air cylinder with a 32 mm bore and 20 mm stroke. Double acting, single rod, with a built-in magnet (CDQ2 prefix) so auto switches can be added on any of the 4 mounting-groove surfaces available on the ø32 body. Mounting style B is the standard through-hole type. The rod end is the standard female thread. Port thread on ø32 is Rc. Operates on air at 0.05 to 1.0 MPa with a proof pressure of 1.5 MPa, non-lube, at a piston speed of 50 to 500 mm/s. Ambient and fluid temperature range is -10 to 60 degrees C with the auto switch magnet fitted. Shipped without auto switches. Replacement seal kit CQ2B32-PS.

CDQ2B32-20DZ Applications

Suited to short-travel motion in tight envelopes: workpiece clamping on machining and welding fixtures, part ejection, stop and escapement mechanisms, gate and diverter actuation, and lifting or transfer stations on assembly lines. The flat compact body keeps overall length down where a tie-rod cylinder would not fit. The built-in magnet supports D-M9 series auto switches on four faces of the ø32 body, so stroke-end position can be reported to a PLC without adding external limit switches.
