SMC CDQ2B205DZ Compact Air Cylinder — 20 mm bore, 5 mm short stroke, standard rod end female thread (no body option). SMC CDQ2B20-5DZ is a CQ2-Z series compact air cylinder with a 20 mm bore and a short 5 mm stroke. Double acting, single rod, with a built-in magnet (CDQ2 prefix D) for auto switch position sensing. Mounting style B is the standard through-hole body. No body option letter is used, so the rod end has the standard female thread. Auto switch mounting groove Z allows switches to be fitted on 2 sides for bores 12 to 25 mm with no switch projection. Port thread is M5 x 0.8 for the 20 mm bore. Supplied without auto switches.

CDQ2B20-5DZ Applications

A 5 mm stroke makes this the short-throw member of the family, intended for clamping, pressing and locking duties where the tool only needs to travel a few millimetres but must deliver full 20 mm bore force. Typical uses include fixture clamps, die and plate hold-downs, part presence pushers and small gripper actuation inside tight machine guarding. The built-in magnet and Z groove allow flush auto switches to verify clamped and released states.
