SMC CDQ2B2010DMZ Compact Air Cylinder — 20mm bore, 10mm stroke, double acting, rod end male thread. SMC CDQ2B20-10DMZ is a CQ2-Z series compact air cylinder with a 20 mm bore and a 10 mm standard stroke. It is double acting, single rod, with a through-hole (B) mounting style and a built-in magnet for auto switch position sensing. The body option M provides a rod end male thread in place of the standard female thread. The Z suffix denotes the auto switch mounting groove, machined on 2 surfaces on bores 12 to 25 mm. Ports are M5 x 0.8 and the piston rod diameter is 10 mm. Operating medium is air, with a proof pressure of 1.5 MPa, a maximum operating pressure of 1.0 MPa and a minimum operating pressure of 0.05 MPa. Piston speed range is 50 to 500 mm/s, lubrication is not required (non-lube), and the ambient and fluid temperature range is -10 to 60 C with the auto switch magnet fitted. Stroke length tolerance is +1.0 / 0 mm and allowable kinetic energy is 0.055 J. Theoretical output at 0.5 MPa is 157 N extending and 118 N retracting.

CDQ2B20-10DMZ Applications

Use this compact cylinder wherever a short, powerful linear stroke is needed but panel depth is tight, such as clamping, indexing, stopping, lifting and part transfer stations on assembly and packaging machinery. The through-hole mount bolts straight through the body onto a plate or fixture, and the built-in magnet lets you fit auto switches in the machined groove for end-of-stroke confirmation. The rod end male thread suits direct threading into rod eyes, couplers, tooling adapters and locknut arrangements.
