SMC CDQ2B1210TZ Compact Air Cylinder — 12mm bore, 10mm stroke, SINGLE ACTING SPRING EXTEND (T) - air retracts, spring extends, through-hole (B) mount, M5 x 0.8 port, built-in magnet. SMC CDQ2B12-10TZ is a CQ2-Z series compact air cylinder with a 12 mm bore and 10 mm stroke. The T action code means single acting, spring extend: an internal spring pushes the rod out and air pressure retracts it, so the rod fails to the extended position when air is lost. Through-hole (B) mounting body, standard rod end female thread and M5 x 0.8 port thread. The CDQ2 prefix denotes a built-in magnet for direct mounting of D-M9 auto switches in the grooves (2 surfaces). Operates on air at a maximum 1.0 MPa with 1.5 MPa proof pressure, and because it works against the spring the minimum operating pressure is 0.25 MPa. No cushion. CDQ2B12-10TZ Applications

The spring-extend variant is the mirror of the spring-return model: the rod drives out under spring force and air retracts it, so on loss of pressure the rod stays extended. That fail-extended behaviour suits spring-loaded stops, hold-down and pressing pads, and gates or diverters that must remain in place if the air supply fails. It needs only one air line and a 3-port valve. The 12 mm bore, 10 mm stroke and short body fit tight jigs, and the built-in magnet supports D-M9 auto switches for position feedback.
