SMC CDQ2A20-50DZ is a CQ2-Z series compact air cylinder, standard type, double acting, single rod. Bore size 20 mm with a 50 mm standard stroke. Mounting style A = both ends tapped. The leading D denotes a built-in magnet, making the cylinder auto switch capable; the trailing Z denotes the auto switch mounting groove (2 surfaces on bore sizes 12 to 25 mm). Body option is blank = standard, rod end female thread - this is the plain DZ counterpart to the CDQ2A20-50DMZ, which has a male-threaded rod end. Port thread is the M thread type (M5 x 0.8) used on bores 12 to 25 mm. Supplied without auto switches fitted.

CDQ2A20-50DZ Applications
The CDQ2A20-50DZ gives a 50 mm stroke from a very shallow body, with a female-threaded rod end that lets tooling, suction cup mounts, pads and pins bolt directly into the rod rather than hanging off a linkage. It is a common choice for pick-and-place end effectors, part ejectors, clamping fixtures and short-travel lift stations in packaging and assembly cells. The built-in magnet allows D-M9 auto switches to be seated in the side groove for stroke-end confirmation, and both-ends-tapped mounting bolts from either face.
