SMC CDQ2A1230DZ Compact Air Cylinder — 12 mm bore, 30 mm stroke, D double acting with no C or M body option (no cushion, rod end female thread), both-ends-tapped mount, built-in magnet. SMC CDQ2A12-30DZ is a CQ2-Z series standard compact cylinder, double acting, single rod, with a 12 mm bore and 30 mm stroke. The leading D denotes a built-in magnet for auto switch mounting. Mounting code A is both ends tapped. Action code D is double acting. No body option letter follows the D, so the cylinder is supplied without a rubber bumper and with the standard rod end female thread. The trailing Z is the CQ2-Z auto switch mounting groove, provided on 2 surfaces for bores 12 to 25 mm. Fluid is air, proof pressure 1.5 MPa, maximum operating pressure 1.0 MPa, minimum operating pressure 0.07 MPa, piston speed 50 to 500 mm/s, lubrication not required. CDQ2A12-30DZ Applications

This is the longest standard stroke offered at the 12 mm bore in the CQ2-Z compact range, so it suits small stoppers, pushers, gates and gripper actuation where 30 mm of travel is needed but the mounting depth is very shallow. Supplied without a bumper, it is best used at moderate piston speeds and light loads, or with external shock absorbers and speed controllers if the moving mass is significant. The rod end female thread accepts a stud or screw directly, and the built-in magnet allows D-M9 auto switches to be fitted in the body groove for stroke-end sensing.
