SMC CD85N20-50C-B is a C85 series ISO 6432 mini air cylinder, double acting single rod, basic (N) mounting, with a built-in magnet (D) for auto switch detection. Bore 20 mm, stroke 50 mm (a standard C85 stroke), air cushion (C) at both ends, band mounting (B) for auto switches. Piston rod diameter 8 mm with M8 x 1.25 rod end thread and G 1/8 ports. Fluid: air. Proof pressure 1.5 MPa, maximum operating pressure 1.0 MPa, piston speed 50 to 1500 mm/s. Ambient and fluid temperature -10 to 60 degC for built-in magnet types. Lubrication not required; use turbine oil Class 1 ISO VG32 if lubricated.

CD85N20-50C-B Applications
A general-purpose ISO 6432 round-body cylinder for short-stroke clamping, indexing, stopping, feeding and gate actuation on packaging, assembly and light material-handling equipment. The air cushion decelerates the piston at each end of stroke, reducing impact noise and extending service life at higher cycle rates. The built-in magnet works with band-mounted SMC auto switches so the controller can confirm extend and retract positions without external mechanical limit switches.
