SMC CD85N20250CB Mini Air Cylinder — 20 mm bore, 250 mm long stroke, air cushion (C) both ends, band mounting for auto switch. SMC C85 series ISO 6432 mini air cylinder, double acting, single rod, with built-in magnet (D) for auto switch detection. Basic mounting type (N), 20 mm bore, 250 mm stroke, air cushion (C) instead of the standard rubber bumper, and band mounting (B) for auto switches. Piston rod diameter 8 mm with M8 x 1.25 rod thread, G 1/8 port size. Air operated, 1.0 MPa maximum operating pressure, 1.5 MPa proof pressure, piston speed 50 to 1500 mm/s, allowable kinetic energy 0.66 J with air cushion. Ambient and fluid temperature -10 to 60 C for the built-in magnet type. Air cushion is available only on the N (basic) mounting type. Conforms to ISO 6432 and CETOP RP52P.

CD85N20-250C-B Applications

Specify the air-cushion version when a 250 mm stroke has to be stopped smoothly at each end without hammering. The adjustable pneumatic cushion raises allowable kinetic energy to 0.66 J, roughly 2.4 times the rubber bumper rating, so it handles heavier carriages, longer pushers and faster cycles on conveyors, feeders and lifting frames. Cushion needle screws let you tune deceleration on site. Band-mounted auto switches read the built-in magnet for reliable end-of-stroke confirmation to the PLC.
