SMC CD85N1650CB Mini Air Cylinder — 16 mm bore, 50 mm stroke, air cushion (C), band-mounting auto switch style (B). SMC C(D)85 series ISO 6432 mini air cylinder, double acting, single rod, with built-in magnet (D) for auto switch use. Basic 'N' mounting (integral clevis) head cover. Bore 16 mm, stroke 50 mm, piston rod diameter 6 mm, rod end thread M6 x 1, port size M5 x 0.8. Air cushion at both ends ('C' suffix; air cushion is available only with the N mounting style, bores 10 to 25). Auto switch mounting style B = band mounting; auto switches and bands are ordered separately. Proof pressure 1.5 MPa, maximum operating pressure 1.0 MPa, piston speed 50 to 1500 mm/s, ambient and fluid temperature -20 to 80 C (-10 to 60 C with built-in magnet). Allowable kinetic energy 0.4 J with air cushion (versus 0.09 J for the rubber bumper version). Not requiring lubrication. Conforms to ISO 6432 and CETOP RP52P. CD85N16-50C-B Applications

An air-cushioned version of the standard 16 mm bore, 50 mm stroke ISO 6432 cylinder for machines that cycle quickly or move slightly heavier tooling. The adjustable air cushion decelerates the piston before it reaches the end cover, reducing shock, noise and wear so the actuator survives high-frequency clamping, pushing and part-transfer duty on packaging, assembly and handling lines. Band-mounted auto switches read the built-in magnet for end-of-stroke confirmation.
