SMC C(D)85 series ISO 6432 mini air cylinder, double acting, single rod, with built-in magnet (D) for auto switch use. Basic 'N' mounting (integral clevis) head cover. Bore 16 mm, stroke 40 mm, piston rod diameter 6 mm, rod end thread M6 x 1, port size M5 x 0.8. Air cushion at both ends ('C' suffix; air cushion is available only with the N mounting style, bores 10 to 25). Auto switch mounting style B = band mounting; auto switches and bands are ordered separately. Proof pressure 1.5 MPa, maximum operating pressure 1.0 MPa, piston speed 50 to 1500 mm/s, ambient and fluid temperature -20 to 80 C (-10 to 60 C with built-in magnet). A short-stroke ISO 6432 cylinder for fast, repetitive clamping, stopping and part transfer in compact machinery. The air cushion soaks up end-of-stroke energy at high cycle rates, cutting impact noise and extending cover life compared with the rubber bumper version. Typical duties include stop gates, small pushers and tool advance on packaging, assembly and electronics lines. Band-mounted auto switches sense the built-in magnet to confirm rod extension and retraction to the controller.
