SMC AV4000-A Series slow start-up (soft start) valve, body size 40, G1/2 port size (P and A), solenoid pilot operated. 24 VDC coil, Type Y DIN terminal electrical entry without connector, no surge voltage suppressor, push-turn locking slotted manual override. Power consumption 0.35 W, C = 9.2 dm3/(s.bar). Flow direction left to right, name plate and pressure gauge in SI units (MPa). Gradually raises initial pressure on start-up and quickly exhausts residual pressure when air supply is cut off.

Fitted at a pneumatic supply inlet to gently ramp up initial pressure on start-up, protecting actuators from sudden motion, and to rapidly exhaust residual pressure at shutdown for safe maintenance. The larger AV4000-A size 40 with G1/2 (BSPP) ports handles higher flow air preparation lines. Type Y DIN terminal without connector allows fitting a user-supplied DIN plug for machine control wiring.
