AN20-N02 Applications

The AN20-N02 is the NPT-threaded version of SMC's compact resin AN20 silencer, offering an NPT 1/4 male thread for North American style ports. With a 35 mm2 effective area and recommended flow up to 3.0 m3/min, it suits mid-size valves and reduces exhaust noise by about 30 dB(A). The sintered resin sound-absorbing body attenuates venting noise while keeping back pressure low. Choose a silencer whose sonic conductance exceeds the valve to avoid choking exhaust, hand-tighten and finish on the hex flats, and replace it when clogging slows exhaust. Rated to 1.0 MPa inlet pressure.
