AN20-02 Applications

The AN20-02 is a compact resin silencer with an R1/4 male thread and a larger 35 mm2 effective area for valves handling more flow, up to a recommended 3.0 m3/min. It threads into an exhaust or vent port and reduces venting noise by about 30 dB(A) using a sintered resin sound-absorbing body that keeps back pressure low. Select a silencer whose sonic conductance exceeds that of the valve so exhaust is not choked, hand-tighten the resin body plus a quarter turn on the flats, and replace it when clogging slows the exhaust. Rated to 1.0 MPa maximum inlet pressure.
